    Here are areas to be affected by ECG’s planned maintenance on Tuesday

    The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance works in the Ashanti, Central, Accra East, Accra West and Tema regions on Tuesday, July 28, as part of efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply.

    In the Ashanti Region, power interruptions will affect several communities, including Mamponteng, Dwumanafo, Aboaso, Hemang, Ankaase Hospital, Mpobi, Ejuratia, Kona, Asonomaso, parts of Agona, Agona Jamasi, Boanim, Apaa, Wiamoase, Onwe, Asienimpong, Kwaso, parts of Juaben, Nkyerepoaso, Abetenim, Nwamase, Apire, Ampatia, Darko, Trede, Ampabame, Mpatasie, Bekwame, Pakyi Nos. 1 and 2, Semanhyiakrom, Sabin Akrofrom, Kotwi, Beposo, Mankranso, Kunsu, Bronikrom, Dokyikrom, Asamang, Oforikrom, Siadieyokurom, Kyekyewere, Bebu, Mpasatia, Complex, Owabi, Bokankye, Odaso, parts of Brofoyedru, Adumasa, Afratia, Asaago, Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem, Tweapiaase, Fenaso, Nyamebekyere, Hia, Numerso, Fehiakobo, Sukulmu, Domiabra and nearby communities. Most of the outages are expected to last between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m., while some locations will remain without power until 5:00 p.m.

    In the Central Region, the maintenance exercise will affect communities including Abrem Agona, Efutu Mampon, Ankase, Braase, Breman, Abreshia, Wassa Ekutuase, Suhyen, Wassa Edwenase, Ayensudo, Ampenyi, Dwobo, Akwakrom, Abeeye, Nsadwire, Dutch Komenda Dompuase, Kissi, Serkyere, Heman Waterworks, Komenda, Sefwi, Ebukrom, Anweem, Dumtu, Kafofizdi, Aburansa, Dominase, Egyie Krom, Benyadze, Dabir, Saaman, CP, Evalip, Biakoye, Agyenkwa, Winger Fiifi, Green Estate, Millennium City, Pentecost Convention Centre, Saltpond Town, Bungalow, Assembly, Ankaful, Mfantsiman SHS, Nanamon, Abonko, Mankessim, Baifikrom, Inshallahu, Asomdwe, Thompson, Obengkrom, Apewosika, Abuanu, Agendam and surrounding areas. The planned outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Customers in the Accra East Region will also experience power interruptions in Ofankor, Franko Estate, PRESEC Basic School, parts of Madina, Frafraha, Ashiyeie and adjoining communities from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    In the Accra West Region, electricity supply will be temporarily interrupted in parts of Petroleum, Star of the Sea, Page 2K and nearby areas during the same period, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Meanwhile, in the Tema Region, the maintenance works will affect Emef’s Estates, High Tension, Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono Village and Estates, Greenville Hospital, Devtraco, P.S. Global, Tsopoli, Shiloh, Agortor, Luta and surrounding communities between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

    ECG apologised for the inconvenience the planned outages may cause and appealed to customers in the affected areas to make the necessary preparations while engineers undertake the scheduled maintenance works aimed at improving electricity service delivery.
