In a demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Best Assurance Company Limited has officially joined forces with the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) under the Educational Financial Partnerships Initiative (EFPI) programme.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the insurance firm presented a significant financial boost of GHS 100,000 aimed at developing and enriching educational resources in underserved communities throughout the country.

The official presentation took place during a brief ceremony at the GETFund Head Office, where the Managing Director of Best Assurance, Mr. Robert Wugah, presented the cheque to the GETFund Administrator, Mr. Paul Adjei.

Mr. Wugah lauded GETFund for its continuous efforts to bridge the country’s infrastructure and resource gaps, emphasizing that the contribution is directly targeted at procuring essential teaching and learning materials, including textbooks, stationery, and educational aids to elevate classroom instruction.

Beyond this corporate social responsibility (CSR) milestone, Best Assurance expressed a strong interest in building a broader, long-term relationship with GETFund. He offered to provide comprehensive corporate insurance solutions, spanning motor, fire, engineering, marine, bond, and accident portfolios to cover GETFund’s institutional and logistical needs.

Accepting the donation, Mr Paul Adjei expressed his profound gratitude for the timely intervention. He noted that the funds will significantly improve learning outcomes in underserved areas. Mr. Adjei welcomed Best Assurance to the EFPI programme and assured them of GETFund’s commitment to forging a sustainable, mutually beneficial partnership.

This collaboration highlights the vital role of private sector engagement in driving educational development and shaping a brighter future for Ghana.

Mr Wugah was accompanied by Mr Kofi Lartey, deputy managing director in charge of operations, Margaret Mutumina, deputy managing director in charge of finance and the chief distribution officer, Mr. Kweku Arko.
