I spend a lot of time thinking about education in the Osu State.
This is because I am convinced it is the surest way to change the lot of our people and to preserve our heritage for centuries to come.
Returning to Yale’s campus after so many years, I couldn’t help but reflect on education once again — specifically, innovation that creates opportunities.

This generation of Osu students must be innovators.
We must make them ready for the world they will live in, not the world we lived in.There is an education emergency in the Osu State and we must treat it as such.
I will be urging the Osu Stool Council to treat it as an emergency and to engage the Osu Heritage Foundation and the Osu Development Foundation on concrete measures we can take and support to remedy the situation.
No one is coming to save us.
We must take control of our future.
Omanye!
