Management of Metro Mass Transit Limited has accused the Akufo-Addo government of pursuing a “create, loot, and share” agenda in the sale of portions of the Opera Square bus terminal in Accra to a private developer.
The company claims that although the developer has constructed shops in part of the terminal, there are ongoing attempts to evict traders to make way for further development in other sections of the facility.
Addressing journalists on Thursday, March 12, Deputy Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit Limited, Haroun Apaw-Wiredu, warned that the company would not tolerate any unauthorised development within the terminal premises.
“We will use every legitimate avenue at our disposal and by the last drop of blood running through our veins to positively and legally defend and protect what is right,” Apaw-Wiredu stated. “We are determined to ensure that tomorrow, history and prosperity will define all of us.”
