Ghanaian satirist, social commentator and talk show host Kwaku Sintim-Misa, popularly known as KSM, has questioned the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour, and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over their allegation that they have intelligence indicating the existence of a cocaine manufacturing hub in Ghana.
Speaking on the KSM Show on September 25, 2026, KSM questioned what kind of intelligence the NPP had that was reportedly available only to the opposition party but had not been shared with the country’s security agencies to enable them to act on the alleged cocaine manufacturing hub.
He questioned whether Nana Agyei Baffour considered it sensible to withhold such vital information if the intelligence was credible and could help security agencies locate and dismantle the alleged facility.
“If you have intelligence that, in this country, we are manufacturing cocaine, first of all, my question is this: What kind of intelligence is this? Is it an intelligence agency that reports only to the party in opposition?
“Because I am thinking that if this intelligence is around and available, why are they not reporting it to NACOC, National Security? You have intelligence leading to this, and yet, folks, you are withholding the intelligence. Is it sensible? I am just asking a very simple question,” KSM said.
There is a cocaine manufacturing hub in Ghana – NPP MP alleges
The satirist and social commentator further argued that if the claim about the existence of a cocaine manufacturing hub in Ghana was true and based on credible intelligence, the information should be shared with the relevant security agencies so they could investigate and take action.
KSM questioned why agencies such as National Security and the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) could not be led to the alleged location and allowed to take steps to shut down the facility.
“If it is a fact, truth, that there are drug hubs and you are pursuing, then go all the way out. Is the intelligence so powerful and so credible that it cannot work with National Security, NACOC, and say, ‘This is where the hub for production is,’ and then we move in and go and bust in Rambo style, like they do everywhere in the world? That is how you fight the drug menace,” he noted.
The comments by KSM come after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour, reaffirmed his party’s claim that cocaine is currently being manufactured in Ghana.
The National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, made the initial claim at a press conference on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, where he alleged that there was a cocaine manufacturing plant in Ghana.
Speaking in an interview on Citi FM, Nana Agyei Baffour maintained that Ghana was not only being used as a transit point for cocaine smuggling but that some level of cocaine manufacturing was also taking place in the country.
According to him, the NPP has intelligence confirming the existence of the alleged manufacturing operation.
However, when asked to disclose the location of the alleged hub, the MP said he could not provide the information publicly.
He also declined to say whether the NPP had shared its intelligence with the country’s security apparatus or informed the relevant agencies about the alleged existence of the cocaine manufacturing hub.
