    Two reportedly swept away by floodwaters in Ga South

    Two persons, believed to be an adult and a child, are reported to have been swept away by floodwaters at Nurses Quarters Junction in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region following heavy rains on Tuesday, June 9. The incident, however, is yet to be officially confirmed by authorities. According to reports, the child was initially swept away by the strong currents, prompting the adult to attempt a rescue.     UG study: 43% of Ghanaians view coups as justified

    About 43% of Ghanaians believe military takeovers are sometimes justified, with the northern regions recording the highest levels of support, according to a recent report by the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department. The report, titled Undertones and Public Perceptions of Military Rule and Democracy in Ghana, surveyed 6,719 respondents across all 16 regions.
