Lumba’s Abusuapanyin has been directed to appear before Wor Lumor Konor Nuumo Borkete Laweh Tsuru

The family head of the late Daddy Lumba, Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu, has been summoned by the Overlord of GaDangme over the alleged burial of the highlife legend at his private residence in East Legon.

In a letter dated March 10, 2026, the office of Gborbu Wulomo-Shitsɛ, Nungua traditional area, directed Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu to appear before Wor Lumor Konor Nuumo Borkete Laweh Tsuru at the palace in Nungua on March 13, 2026, at 11:30 am.

According to the Ga chiefs, the summons is connected to reports that have also been confirmed by the family head that the late singer was laid to rest in his private residence in East Legon.

Is it right for Daddy Lumba to be buried in his private residence? – Priest explains

“This summons arises in connection with reports and public concerns regarding the alleged burial of the late Charles Kojo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) at his private residence located in East Legon, Accra,” part of the statement read.

The traditional authorities explained that the issue has generated significant concern among sections of the GaDangme people and has therefore been brought before the Spiritual Overlord for clarification and traditional review.

According to them, the matter has stirred strong sentiments within the GaDangme community, prompting the need for the traditional leadership to examine the circumstances surrounding the burial in line with customary practices.

Wor Lumor Konor Nuumo Borkete Laweh Tsuru further stated that Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu’s presence is required so he can provide the necessary explanations regarding the matter in accordance with customary protocols.

“As the Family Head (Abusuapanyin) of the late Charles Kojo Fosu, your presence is required to provide the necessary explanation and engagement on the matter in accordance with customary protocols and to assist in addressing the concerns raised,” the statement indicated.

The letter also urged the family head to cooperate fully with the traditional authorities as they seek to address the concerns raised and bring clarity to the issue.

“Your cooperation in this matter is highly expected in the interest of maintaining harmony, respect for tradition, and peaceful resolution of the issues raised. Kindly treat this summons with the urgency and respect it deserves,” the statement further indicated.

Ghana lost one of its most musical legends, Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, on July 26, 2025, after battling an illness for some time.

His final funeral rites were held on December 13, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

However, reports later emerged, and have since been confirmed by the family head, that the late Highlife legend was buried at his private residence in East Legon.
