The Director of Agribusiness Development at the Presidency, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting agro-industrial growth during a working visit to the Upper West Region.

As part of the tour, Dr. Otokunor visited the production facility of Kedan Limited, an agro-processing company based in Tumu, which employs hundreds of young people across its value chain.

The company specialises in the production of a variety of food products derived from maize and soya beans, contributing significantly to local employment and food processing in the region.

Dr. Otokunor noted that the operations of Kedan Limited align with President John Dramani Mahama’s broader vision of creating an enabling agro-economic environment for businesses to thrive under the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.

He emphasised that agro-industrialisation remains a critical pathway to job creation and accelerated economic growth, particularly in rural communities.

On behalf of the President, Dr. Otokunor assured management of Kedan Limited of government’s full support to expand its production capacity and enhance its contribution to national development.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Presidency to engage key players in the agribusiness sector and promote investment in value addition across the country.
