NE/R: Two dead, others injured in dawn attack by gunmen

Reports indicate that two persons have lost their lives while several others have been injured after an attack on a commercial vehicle at Nasia near Walewale in the North East Region.

The bus, according to reports, was travelling from Zebilla to Kumasi when the unfortunate incident happened.

Although details around the attack are scanty, eyewitnesses say the assailants were armed to the teeth.

As of the time of going to press, the identity of the deceased had not been made public.

Although security agencies are yet to release a statement on the attack, it is expected that they will launch an investigation into the matter, as it’s becoming a worry while travelling on the stretch.
