Legal practitioner, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has urged government to back the transition following Engineers and Planners (E&P)’s successful bid to take over Damang Mines with clear legislative and policy direction.
Speaking on Newsfile on Joy Prime, monitored by MyNewsGh, he said Ghana must avoid an unstructured approach to ownership changes in strategic sectors like mining.
He argued that reforms should anticipate long-term national interests rather than respond to isolated deals.
“We must be intentional about where we are heading, and the laws must reflect that direction,” he said.
