The Headmaster of the Swedru Business School, Justice Kojo Frimpong, and other authorities of the school had to quickly wipe the smiles off their faces during an encounter with COP Lydia Donkor, following the violence at the District Schools Athletics Games at Agona Swedru, involving students of the school.

COP Donkor, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, stormed the school to engage its authorities over the incident on Monday, February 23, 2026.

A video of the visit, made available to GhanaWeb, showed the CID boss issuing a strong warning to the headmaster and the other authorities of the school.

The faces of Kojo Frimpong and other school authorities, who were initially smiling, suddenly changed after the CID boss told them they had to produce the students of the school who were captured in viral videos of the violence assaulting a student from a rival school.

“Somebody has worn your uniform to create such a scene or to conduct himself in such a manner; it is giving your school a bad name. So, I’m sure you are concerned that that is your school shirt. That’s because I wanted you to control that it is your school shirt. So, if that is your school shirt, and somebody has worn it and is attacking a fellow human being in such a manner, as a school, you should be concerned to find out who wore that shirt and hand them over to the police, no?

“So, I am mentioning now that I’m giving you 24 hours to produce the people in that shirt who attacked the boy. The 24 hours starts now,” she said.

The CID boss went on to warn the school authorities that if the suspects are not produced within the stated deadline, the police would storm the school as it does in handling criminal cases.

“If you fail to produce them, the means law enforcement employs to fish out suspects, we are going to adopt it, but because this is a school environment and there are other innocent students who were not part of the sports or were not part of that assault… The police will not do what I’ve asked you to do to produce them. You adopt means by which other people who are not concerned might be found wanting,” she warned.
