A group of Obuasi Senior High Technical School students have reportedly beaten their headmaster to a pulp.
While some unconfirmed reports indicated that the students beat up the headmaster over a sexual scandal, others have indicated that he was beaten up for engaging in ritual practices.
According to OTEC FM, a source at the school has claimed that the attack occurred after a student alleged to have seen the headmaster at dawn on Monday, around 3:00 am, burying something at the school’s dumpsite.
The report further stated that the students later went to the scene and discovered what they believed to be a newborn baby in the covered hole.
Following the allegations, the headmaster and some teachers went to the scene but were met by aggrieved students who attacked the headmaster.
A viral video of the incident showed the chaotic scene as the students attacked the headmaster at what appeared to be his residence.
The said video showed some of the supposed students hitting the headmaster while some cursed and hurled insults at him.
The headmaster could be seen pleading with the students, but that did not stop the attacks.
There were bruises all over his face and blood stains on the jalabia he was wearing.
The supposed students who were visible and infuriated did not say exactly what the headmaster’s crime was.

Some of them could be heard saying that the headmaster could not do anything to them, while others were daring him.
The report indicated that the Ghana Police Service has taken over the school and has commenced investigations into the incident.
It added that the authorities of the Obuasi SHTS are yet to confirm the identity of the baby or release an official statement.
