The Chief Resident Engineer for the Ofankor-Nsawam Road Project, Ing. Kwabena Bempong, says construction works on the highway have reached 82 per cent completion. According to him, the outstanding works are largely within the Nsawam enclave. The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced a two-month amnesty for users of uncustomed vehicles from June 1 to July 31, 2026. According to the GRA, the amnesty waives all penalties that would normally be imposed if such vehicles are impounded by the Customs Division. The authority is encouraging users of uncustomed vehicles to take advantage of the period to regularise the documentation of vehicles that were illegally imported into the country. Passengers travelling through Accra International Airport will no longer be required to routinely remove shoes and belts during security screening from August 2026, following the installation of new screening technology.
