The value of mobile money transactions in Ghana rose to GH¢493.2 billion in April 2026, according to the latest Summary of Economic and Financial Data for May 2026 released by the Bank of Ghana. The transactions, which totalled 967 million for the month, exceeded the GH¢484.6 billion recorded in March 2026. Data from the central bank showed that the number of registered mobile money accounts increased from 80.5 million in December 2025 to 83 million in April 2026.
