    Several shops at the Kasoa New Market have been demolished, raising concerns over the livelihoods of affected traders.     Ghana records ¢493.2b in Mobile Money transactions in April

    The value of mobile money transactions in Ghana rose to GH¢493.2 billion in April 2026, according to the latest Summary of Economic and Financial Data for May 2026 released by the Bank of Ghana. The transactions, which totalled 967 million for the month, exceeded the GH¢484.6 billion recorded in March 2026.
