The Ga Traditional Council has formally requested police intervention to halt what it describes as an unlawful and unauthorised installation within the Ga State.
In a letter dated March 26, 2026, and addressed to the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, the Council said it had received intelligence regarding a purported installation of a Dantu Walomo by an individual identified as Chuku Lamptey.
According to the Council, the development, if not stopped, could pose a threat to peace and security within the Ga State.
The directive was issued on the instructions of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and President of the Council, who called for urgent action to prevent any potential unrest.
The Council urged the police to immediately restrain all persons involved in the alleged process, including agents and associates, to maintain law and order.
It emphasised that the installation was not sanctioned by the appropriate traditional authorities and must therefore be halted without delay.
The Ga Traditional Council further expressed confidence in the cooperation of the police in addressing the situation and ensuring stability across the Ga State.
