The suspects, identified as Peter Abugri, 24, Asuma Shaini, 22, and Yakubu Wakasu, 19, were picked up following a robbery incident reported along the Bolga Nasia road.
According to police, the victim was attacked while he had stepped into nearby bushes to relieve himself. The assailants, armed with a pistol and a knife, made away with his iPhone 17 Pro and a Haojue motorbike.
Investigations revealed that the victim was able to track the stolen iPhone, which indicated that the suspects were heading toward the North East Region.

Further operations led to the arrest of the remaining two suspects at their hostels. A search conducted at the locations uncovered additional items, including a pistol, a jackknife, machetes, and the stolen iPhone.
The suspects have since been charged and remanded into prison custody. The case has been adjourned to April 19, 2026.
